UK Parliament
The Restoration and Renewal Programme is the long-term undertaking to protect the Grade I listed Palace of Westminster from managed decline and catastrophic failure. The nineteenth-century building's ageing infrastructure requires an exceptional level of care, coordination and technical governance.
Balfour Beatty
Heathrow's largest airside development at the time was designed to serve up to 20 million passengers each year, delivered within a live airport environment over critical buried services and complex ground conditions.
A combined top-down and bottom-up construction strategy saved six months on the programme. Delivery included what was then Europe's largest diaphragm wall, approximately 165,000 cubic metres of reinforced concrete, ground anchors, 16 aircraft stands, passenger facilities, retail areas and a basement for baggage and transit systems.
BFK joint venture
Delivery of the Crossrail Western Tunnels included two 6.2 metre internal-diameter bored tunnels running 6.5 kilometres from Royal Oak to Farringdon, with sprayed concrete lining works at key stations and the Fisher Street crossover.
At peak production, tunnel boring machines advanced by up to 40 metres per day. The operation excavated approximately 3,000 tonnes of material and installed around 575 tonnes of precast lining rings each day.
Ferrovial
Major excavation, tunnelling, structural and mechanical and electrical works for the Elizabeth line station at Farringdon, delivered within a dense historic urban setting at depths of approximately 40 metres.
The programme demanded close control of underground interfaces, logistics, temporary works and stakeholder constraints while maintaining progress in one of London's most complex construction environments.
Blue-chip technology client
A large-scale data-centre project for a global software organisation in North Holland. Delivery planning and site operations were managed through significant and unpredictable weather challenges while protecting programme certainty and quality.
GlaxoSmithKline
A complex research and development estate portfolio covering two data centres, electrical infrastructure upgrades, transformers, a 132kV substation, low-voltage control rooms and resilience improvements.
The programme also included civil works, utility and service diversions, decommissioning of laboratories, offices and plant rooms, relocation activity and preparation for land and building sales. Projects were managed across FIDIC and NEC4 contractual environments.

Transport for London delivery
Design and construction of the top-side refurbishment of the Grade II listed Vauxhall Bridge for Transport for London. The programme was completed ahead of schedule, with deck waterproofing and concrete repairs resolving persistent water-ingress issues.
Kier Group
Framework delivery in Hertfordshire covering trunk-main renewal and essential water infrastructure, supporting Affinity Water's wider capital investment programme.
The portfolio included distribution mains, developer-led new mains and services, and the design and installation of trunk mains, coordinated as part of a major programme of asset improvement.
South West Water
A portfolio of reservoir and heavy civil projects, including the design and construction of a new reservoir with storage capacity exceeding 5,000 million litres. The investment supports long-term water-resource planning and resilience in water-stressed regions.
National Highways
A critical bridge project on the A14 south of Ipswich. Replacement of two westbound expansion joints was accelerated by two years after one joint was identified as potentially unsafe, with works completed in August 2025.
Thames Water
Management of a complex series of related capital projects, aligning interdependencies, resources, governance and investment priorities. The programme approach created consistent portfolio control and a clear route from opportunity to delivery.
BTU joint venture
Framework management for the BTU joint venture, with financial monitoring and control, health, safety, environmental and quality compliance, and collaborative working under an Alliance agreement.
The framework applied Project Lifecycle Management and an NEC3 target-cost contract, supported by business cases prepared to House governance standards to secure project funding.
